Minutes Peace & Justice

A. DVD Film Series: Everything is set for the showing of Whale Rider at 6:00 p.m. on Sun. 21 Jan. 2007.
B. CIOP: Tomorrow night at 6:15, there will be a meeting in the parlor regarding Pay Day Loans with members of Central who are involved and knowledgeable with banking. We hope to get a better understanding of the issues.
C. Robert’s comments: DJAN Disciples Peace Fellowship: No report on DJAN or Disciples Peace Fellowship. Robert leaves their newsletter on the counter for us to read. Robert showed us the new CCC Forum. We are encouraged to post pertinent messages to it. These minutes will be posted to it for anyone in church to view.

We did not manage to reduce the list, but we decided to begin by preparing a short course on the challenges of education. Jo Carter and Susie Simcox with help from Fred Spannaus and Robert Bushey will get together with some educators in our congregation to design a course.
